LegalFileAI is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice, representation, or attorney-client privilege. Our Services use AI-driven automation to assist users in preparing legal documents but do not replace a licensed attorney.

2.2 No Legal Advice Provided

• For Pro Se Litigants (Self-Represented Individuals): The documents generated by LegalFileAI are for informational and educational purposes only. They may not comply with all jurisdictional requirements or court-specific rules. You should consult a licensed attorney to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
• For Individuals Using LegalFileAI with Counsel: If you are using our Services under the guidance of an attorney, your attorney—not LegalFileAI—is responsible for reviewing, modifying, and ensuring the validity of generated documents before filing or submission.
• For Attorneys and Legal Professionals: LegalFileAI is a productivity tool to assist with legal drafting. Attorneys are responsible for validating, modifying, and ensuring compliance with ethical and jurisdictional rules before using AI-assisted documents in legal proceedings.

2.3 User Responsibility & Compliance

• LegalFileAI does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or legal sufficiency of any AI-generated document.
• You are solely responsible for reviewing and modifying any content before use.
• LegalFileAI assumes no liability for improper use or legal consequences arising from AI-generated documents.

• You must be at least 18 years old or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction.
• You must have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
• You must use the Services only for lawful purposes and not for fraudulent or deceptive activities.

If you violate these Terms, we may terminate your account immediately.

• Account Creation: Certain features require account registration. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration.
• Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and assume responsibility for all activities under your account.
• Unauthorized Access: If you suspect unauthorized access, please notify us immediately at support@legalfileai.com.

LegalFileAI offers various subscription plans:

• Pro Se Plan: For self-represented individuals.
• With Counsel Plan: For individuals working with an attorney.
• Attorney Plan: For legal professionals.

5.1 Billing & Payments

• Recurring Billing: By purchasing a subscription, you authorize us to automatically charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
• No Refunds: All purchases and subscriptions are non-refundable, except as required by law.
• Subscription Cancellation: You may cancel at any time, though cancellation does not refund unused portions of the subscription.

5.2 Work Product Protection for Attorneys

• Attorneys acknowledge that all generated documents require professional review and modification.
• LegalFileAI does not store user work product beyond what is necessary for service functionality and compliance.
• Attorneys are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with attorney-client privilege, confidentiality rules, and ethical obligations when using AI-assisted documents.

You agree not to:

• Create false, fraudulent, or misleading legal documents using our Services.
• Misrepresent yourself as a licensed attorney if you are not one.
• Distribute, modify, or sell AI-generated documents without legal review.
• Reverse-engineer, copy, or exploit any part of LegalFileAI without permission.

Violation of these Terms may result in account termination and legal action.

7.1 Ownership: All content, AI models, legal templates, and branding associated with LegalFileAI are our exclusive intellectual property. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any LegalFileAI content without explicit authorization.

7.2 License Grant: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use our Services for personal or business use only.

7.3 User-Generated Content: By submitting content to LegalFileAI, you grant us a limited license to process and store such content solely for service functionality.

AI-generated documents are provided “as is” with no warranties regarding accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any legal purpose. LegalFileAI is not liable for errors or omissions.

• LegalFileAI is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our Services.
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months.
• You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims or disputes arising from your use of LegalFileAI.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. We may also discontinue the Services with reasonable prior notice.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Louisiana, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes must be resolved through binding arbitration in shall be brought exclusively in the state courts located in Lafayette Parish, Louisiana or in the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana (Lafayette Division), unless prohibited by law. You agree to resolve disputes individually and not as part of a class action.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you via email or in-app notification. Continued use of our Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
